Read carefully the passage below and answer the questions that follow.
"Bring me some water, please," Mr Ram told Jim. it was nine thirty on the wall clock. The ten year old boy got up from his front seat, took a plastic bottle and hurried outside. A few minutes later he entered the classroom with the container still empty.
"What's the matter, Jim?" Mr ram asked the student gently.
"The tap is dry, Sir. There is no water coming out," answered the child.
"Well children, can you tell me why the tap is dry?" asked Mr Ram again.
Most of the pupils raised their hands, excitedly. They repeatedly shouted to attract the teacher's attention, each wanting to be the first to answer the question.
"Yes, Prem," smiled the elderly man, pointing to one pupil in the middle of the class.
"Because of the drought,"was the reply. "I heard that on TV and saw how our reservoirs are getting dry. We were told that there would be severe cuts in the water supply everywhere and we would have to save the precious liquid."
"But our island is surrounded by water, isn't it, children?" added Mr Ram.
"Yes", shouted many voices at the same time. "That is sea water but we need fresh water for drinking. There hasn't been much rainfall since long and we are suffering much."
"Good! Do you remember the blue booklet I gave some time back? You must all read the pages again and continue to put into practice the different ways mentioned to save water", advised Mr Ram.
